A really interesting photo. It is something like a village you can see..well I think it is a village.
But I am not sure about this. Anyways, What I do like is the way you captured the sun. It really appears to be like a great,shining fireball over the earth.
It also shows a great contrast to the dark ground, though there is a brighter part on the ground which fits really well in this picture.
Maybe, but only maybe you could have tried to remove the poles, so they wouldn't divide the picture in two pieces. But maybe you wanted to have it like this to keept the atmosphere natural which is also really nice :3
